LG G7 Smartphone May Be Launch Sooner Than Expected

Here's a rumor for any LG fans out there — the G7, successor to the G6, may be released as early as January 2018. This is crazy news considering the G6 just came out in March. It seems a little fast, but then again, that's our modern technological culture.

According to The Investor, LG has already started R&D on the G7 as of last month to anticipate such an early release.

An LG spokesperson had this to say when The Investor asked for comment:

Nothing has been decided on the launch schedule of the upcoming phones— Unnamed LG Spokesperson

PR at its finest. At least G7 users should be seeing things clearly. Rumor has it that the phone will ship with an OLED display, following the trend among smartphone manufacturers. The G6, even with its large screen, is an LCD display, so this would be a welcome change.

Are you excited for the G7, or are you holding out for one of the other heavily-rumored smartphones? Wherever your tech-allegiances lie, stay up-to-date with us here at Gadget Hacks.
