Motorola releases 3 new phones: Moto G, Moto X Style and Play

Hello Moto!

Motorola unveiled three new flagship phones Tuesday that promise to give consumers extra style, customization and an extend battery life. The three phones are called the Moto G, the Moto X Style and the Moto X Play.

The Moto G will be the first phone to hit the market, which focuses more on customization rather than specs. The Moto G has a 5-inch screen, supports LTE networks and is water proof-which is a feature competitors don't have. The Moto G also comes with a 13 megapixel camera and it's already available in the U.S for $179.99.

The other two smartphones will look similar, be customizable and waterproof, but they will have faster processors. The new Moto X Style, which is being rebranded as the Pure Edition, will have a 5.7-inch screen, a 21 megapixel camera and a battery that charges 50% faster than the Samsung Galaxy S6.

The phone will also be completely unlocked for $399; therefore consumers will be able to use the phone on any network: T-Mobile, AT&T, Sprint and Verizon.

The Moto X Play will be the only smartphone that that won't be available in the U.S. The Play will have a smaller 5.5-inch screen, but it compensates with a larger battery that is supposed to last 8 hours with a single 15-minute charge. It also promises battery life to last up to 48 hours.

Motorola will only sell the Moto X Play in Canada, Europe and Latin America and it'll begin shipping next year and is expected to cost $300 or $400 less than the typical flagship phone. The Moto X Style will be available starting September on the company's website, Bestbuy and Amazon.
