Huawei 7P trademark may lead to the 2016 Nexus release

Now, there are rumors that either a Nexus 7P or a successor running Huawei's own software will be coming this year. First of all, we need to take into consideration that trademarking Huawei 7P doesn't necessarily mean the Chinese up and comer will actually launch a device by that name.

Huawei has a lot going on and the good rep they've gathered after the Nexus 6P launch is helping them become an global presence on the smartphone market. In that case, the 7P may be a follow-up to the popular Nexus 7 series with a fresh design from Huawei.

Should the Huawei 7P indeed be a successor of the Huawei Nexus 6P device and with the naming convention pattern usually followed, it may hint that the upcoming device is a 7-inch handset.

Production of the Nexus 2016 could already be underway as Google's manufacturing partner for last year's Nexus has reportedly filed trademark application for an upcoming smartphone initially labelled as Huawei 7P. The description for the device suggests that it is a mobile device like a smartphone or tablet. After all, Huawei is trying to break into the global market and onto the U.S. market especially, and if you look at what other companies are offering, good, affordable, compact tablets are not entirely widely available. The Nexus 5X plays the role of second-in-command for Google, though away from its mere size, it lacks the cutting edge of the beastly 6P.

Now, we're not saying this is any sort of confirmation of a premium Huawei-made Nexus 7 followup, just that it's...

Which manufacturer would you like to see try their hand at a Nexus smartphone or tablet?

Google is set to stage its 2016 I/O starting in May 18 and Android fans are expecting that Android N will be the highlight of the event, possibly leading to the Nexus 2016 release date in the immediate months or even weeks ahead.

However, it is more likely that the device is part of the Nexus 2016 and there are two scenarios to go by.

Slaven Bilic believes hat-trick hero Andy Carroll can reclaim England spotBilic said it is up to Carroll to cash in on his undoubted talent by committing to staying fit for club and country. But the only thing I'm not happy about is the result".
