Samsung rumored to be working on its first 7-inch smartphone

Samsung is well known for manufacturing and releasing a TON of devices over the course of a year. However, one thing the South Korean company has never done is ship a 7-inch smartphone. Usually, the company stays away from that, leaving its Note series as the largest devices you can purchase.

Among all the various device monikers that Samsung releases is the Galaxy J lineup. This lineup is Samsung's take on the budget market and provides users who want the Samsung experience without needing to spend a boatload of money. Surprisingly, that's where this rumored 7-inch device will be falling into.

Evan Blass (@evleaks) took to Twitter to show off the back of an unknown device, along with the official branding for the Samsung Galaxy J Max. Other than the size (7-inches) and its rumored dual-SIM support, there's nothing else known about the device. We'll have to keep our eyes peeled to see if Samsung delivers its first true "phablet" with the J Max.
