Chinese handset maker Meizu has unveiled a new 'A' series handset dubbed Meizu A5. The biggest highlight of the handset is its budget price tag.
The handset has been seen listed on the company's website with a price tag of CNY 699. While there is no word concerning the handset's global availability, Chinese buyers, however, can get their hands on the phone.
The Meizu A5 is been offered in Black, Gold, and Silver color options, and packs a single camera configuration at the back.
The handset also comes with a Home Button in the front and a round-shaped sleek frame overall. The volume and the power button both are present on the right edge of the handset.
Talking about specifications, the Meizu A5 runs Flyme OS customized on an unspecified variant of Android, and comes with a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display tagged with 294-pixel density.
The handset is powered by a 64-bit 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor coupled with Mali-T720 GPU and 2GB of RAM.
The handset also comes with 16GB of internal storage that can be further expanded via microSD card (up to 128GB).The Meizu A5 bears an 8-megapixel rear camera tagged with f/2.0 aperture, dual-LED flash, and modes like panorama and continuous.
At the front, the handset also comes with a 5-megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture and face exposure enhancements as well as the company's smart beauty filters. The handset is fitted a 3060mAh battery and supports 4G VoLTE as well.
It also comes with other connectivity options such as Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, and GPS. The device measures 144×70.5×8.3mm and weigh 140 grams. Onboard sensors include gravity, proximity, compass, ambient light, and infrared sensors.
