The Korean manufacturer hinted that it would be bringing out the Galaxy Note 8 in Autumn.

But Samsung fans have been sharing a "leaked" picture of what they believe is the brand new handset across the web.

The close-up gives little away but shows two major features – a dual camera and fingerprint sensor on the rear.

Samsung hasn't officially confirmed any of the new features coming to the high-end gadget.

But all eyes will be on their new phone's launch after a terrible year for its predecessor.

The Note 7 was banned from flights and millions of the devices were recalled after battery problems caused handsets to burst into flames – sometimes while in customers' hands.

After a successful launch of its smaller smartphones – the S8 and S+ – it is counting on the Note launch to follow suit and bump up sales.
