Nokia upcoming Android smartphones to be made in “close partnership” with Google

Yesterday, HMD officially took the license to use Nokia brand name for the next 10 years to release Android-powered devices. Many leaders of HMD had long stints at Nokia.

In the meanwhile, Google has plenty inputs for new devices. Considering how well the Pixel devices were accepted, it seems that the Nokia brand will be successful in penetrating the market once again.

HMD President Florian Seiche said:

"We are not going to skip any markets in the long term."

Arto Nummela, HMD CEO was quoted as:

"We want to be one of the key competitive players in the smartphone business. We will be extremely true to the Nokia brand," "The Nokia brand is known for simplicity, ease of use, reliability, and quality. These are the elements that we will deliver together with amazing industrial design."

Terms like "Simplicity" and "Ease of use" convey that there will be no heavy meddling with Android like MIUI and company pull offs.

Apple Watch 3 Release Date, Specs, Features, News and Update

Various reports suggest that the Apple Watch 3 will feature a SIM card, S3 processor, WatchOS 5 and other standalone apps. If this turns out to be true, then the gadget will definitely come at a higher price. Quite a few Apple products are slated to be released in 2017 and one of them is surely the Apple Watch 3.

It is not yet known when the device will make its way to the market and various reports have suggested various release dates. It may be released with the immensely-anticipated iPhone 8 or on April 2018, the release month of the original Apple Watch. One thing's for sure though, there will be at least a one year gap between the Apple Watch 2 and Apple Watch 3.

Thus, the Apple Watch 3 may also come out on September 2017. This is also the month when the Apple iPhone 8 is widely anticipated. Whatever may be the release date, the device is not coming anytime soon. This also means, it is too early to speculate on the Apple Watch 3 specs though Apple may stick features such as water resistance, dual-core processor and GPS.

The Apple Watch 3 may also run on WatchOS 4 or WatchOS 5 and sport the S3 processor. Another highly expected feature is the device's ability to access mobile data without the user needing the smartphone. This would require the smartwatch to have standalone apps and a SIM card.

Tech Radar reported in November that cellular capabilities could be the big feature, the feature everybody's looking for in Apple Watch 3. This will make the device standout from past models. There is no conformation on the price yet though tech experts believe the Apple Watch 3 may cost at least $50 more than its predecessor. Stay tuned on GameNGuide for more updates on Apple Watch 3. Nokia Comeback Confirmed: First Android Smartphone Coming In The First Half Of 2017

Nokia's return to the smartphone market in 2017 is officially confirmed, and the first new Nokia phone will hit the scene in the first half of next year.

Microsoft acquired Nokia back in 2014, and under the terms of the deal, Nokia was not allowed to release devices under its brand until late 2016.

After a couple of years of trying to get its smartphone business off the ground, Microsoft eventually decided to let go of Nokia earlier this year, selling the feature phone business.

Nokia changing hands marked the first sign that the iconic brand would return to market soon enough, and rumors have been intensifying as of late, with at least one new Nokia phone expected to hit the scene in 2017.

Nokia's new parent company, HMD Global, just issued a press release confirming that Nokia is indeed making a comeback next year, this time going with Android instead of Microsoft's Windows Phone.

"A new and exciting chapter in the story of Nokia branded phones begins today as HMD Global Oy (HMD) – the new home of Nokia phones enters the market," HMD announced.

"Finnish company HMD will bring a new generation of mobile phones to consumers, with the first smartphone products set to be launched in the first half of 2017, alongside the existing Nokia branded feature phone business."

The Surface phone will support the Quick Charge 4.0 according to the Nokia Power User. Like the Surface hybrid laptop, these Panos Panay phone will have an all-metal body.
