HTC launches 4G ready Desire 626 smartphone at Rs 14990

The smartphone will be available via retail stores in Blue Lagoon and White Birch colour variants. We'll let you be the judge whether this is a fair price for this smartphone, but if you're interested, you can expect this phone to become available in the coming weeks through more or less every major retailer in the country. The company has been coming out with a large number of devices, and their latest release is that of the HTC Desire 626 Dual SIM. Though the device comes with the same design, there are few differences in the specifications.

In terms of specifications, the desire 626 features a 5-inch display with a 720 x 1280 pixel resolution. The handset also integrates 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage, and microSD support up to 32 GB. As for its camera specs, the Desire 626 features a 13-megapixel rear camera.

This smartphone is equipped with a 13MP autofocus rear camera with BSI sensor, f/2.2 aperture and LED flash. It also comes with a 5-megapixel front facing camera with 1080p video recording capabilities. The device is backed by a 2,000 mAh battery. It can run on 2G, 3G adn 4G networks and supports a dual nano SIM slot. Sensors on the phone include Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer, and Gyroscope. HTC chose to launch the dual sim variant, specifically keeping in mind the demand of Indian customers. "We know they love the flexibility that comes with expandable memory", Faisal Siddiqui, President, HTC South Asia said. "At a remarkable price, the HTC Desire 626 Dual SIM delivers the distinctive features with an outstanding user experience in a sleek, chic, slim package".

The one disappointing aspect about the HTC Desire 626 Dual SIM is the fact that the battery life comes in at just 2000mAh, which is quite less, especially for a phone which features 4G LTE connectivity and a 5 inched screen.
