HTC is dropping the "One M" branding for its next flagship phone and will call it the HTC 10, according to leakers.

Famed leakers Evan Blass and OnLeaks have both declared, via tweets, that HTC will call its upcoming flagship handset the HTC 10.

HTC has already begun to tease the phone, though it has given no apparent indication as to what it'll call the handset. However, the company posted a teaser image of the new phone and stamped it with the hashtag "#Powerof10."

That #Powerof10 hashtag may be a hint sitting in plain sight, but it would also work for a handset branded the HTC One M10. The #PowerofM10 or the #PowerofMOne10 just doesn't flow as cleanly off the tongue as does the hashtag HTC rolled with.

The company also has yet to reveal when it plans to unveil the new smartphone, same as the leakers haven't leaked what they believe to be a release date. The leakers have, however, dropped some pictures alleging to depict the HTC 10.

Along with pictures, OnLeaks has listed specs it believes the HTC 10 will pack whenever it arrives.

The HTC 10, or One M10, is expected to bear a 5.1-inch QuadHD AMOLED screen. It's rumored to run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820.

It'll include 4 GB of RAM, standard, with long-term storage options of 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB, going by the rumors. And it's expected to include a fingerprint scanner, and according to HTC CFO Chialin Chang, a "very, very compelling" camera.

"We can confidently say that HTC will have a very, very compelling camera experience," Chang told CNET at the 2016 Mobile World Congress. "We're making this comment after we've seen what's going on in the market."

For those with the hope that the next HTC flagship phone will come in a variant that'll run on Windows Phone, Blass doesn't think so. However, he appears to be down on Windows Phone adoption across the board.

"Guess I can appreciate the optimism, Windows fans, but the answer is no. Every time, w every phone, answer is no :/ ," stated Blass.
