Pre-Release Reviews Streaming in for Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge

As Samsung's Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge smartphones go on sale on March 11, AT&T and T-Mobile are offering buy-one-get-one-free deals on the handsets to new and existing customers who add a new line of service. So if you're wondering how a stock Android 2015 flagship would do against a spanking new 2016 model, well, you've got what you want right here.

Starting online this Thursday, for a limited time, grab one Samsung Galaxy S7 for $0 down and get a second one free after rebate card.

Like Seifert, Fowler liked the Galaxy S7's display, and was happy that Samsung chose to bring back microSD storage after dropping it from the Galaxy S6 a year ago.

"Class-leading camera technology, a long-lasting battery, cutting-edge processors and optimisation for gaming are just some features making these the most innovative smartphones". The second free flagship Samsung phone will be activated on the new line.

The addition of water-resistance was another feature he liked, but the lack of USB Type-C support and pressure-sensitive screen made it feel as if Samsung aced this year's test "by memorizing last year's study guide".

For example, both the S7 Edge and iPhone 6 Plus have a 5.5-inch screen.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 has a price-tag of Rs. 48,900 and the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge has been priced at Rs. 56,900. There's no major design overhaul - only incremental performance and camera upgrades - but it's now the 5.1in counterpoint to the 5.5in Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. The customer will have to pay for the more expensive S7 Edge if taking an S7 for free. Now, in terms of pixel density, the smaller display - in this case the Samsung's at 577ppi - will have the best pixel density, and so will have the slightly punchier images.

The edge screen on the Galaxy S7 edge is now even more powerful and convenient, with quick access to Applications and content. And with the device being able to stand being submerged for up to 30 minutes in one metre of water, it's further proof of just how resilient our mobile devices have become.

T-Mobile has not officially announced this BOGOF deal; however, it is plausible, considering the carrier has done many such deals in the past. The service will allow users to store their credit card credentials on their phones, and authorise payments with their fingerprints via the phone's fingerprint sensor. If you don't have a My Galaxy account you will have to create one.

Truly Exquisite's gold-plated Galaxy s7 will retail from £1,700 (Dh8,653), it says, and promises to dispatch the phones 21 days after the official release date by Samsung. As we explained in our early preview, Samsung's latest camera has larger, brighter pixels coupled with dual photodiode pixel autofocus.
