Samsung reveals most popular phone - Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge?

"The pre-order performance of the new Galaxy S& and S7 Edge illustrates strong customer appetite for our premium smartphones in the United Kingdom", says Conor Pierce, VP of Samsung's Mobile division in the UK.

Samsung recently unveiled the Galaxy S7 in an Unpacked event in Barcelona, a day before this year's MWC.

SAMSUNG HAS ANNOUNCED "record" pre-orders for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, boasting that sales so far have been 2.5 times higher than those seen for its previous smartphone releases.

As for Samsung Pay, the service has already become fairly popular in quite a few markets around the world, including Samsung's home country of South Korea.

Shoppers can mix and match with the Galaxy S7 Edge.

At $599, you can own the unlocked Galaxy S7 (SM-G930F), or you can bump up to Galaxy S7 Edge (SM-G935F) for $699.

The South Korean consumer electronics megalith has started the first step as it is handing out afree Samsung Gear VR headset to consumers who place a pre-order before March 18, 2016. There's a limitation though as the free phone is exclusive for the Galaxy S7 and it appears like the Galaxy S7 Edge is not covered in the promotion.

Though many retailers are offering the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge online, some including Sam's Club, Staples, Target and Walmart will only offer the devices in stores. Let us know in the comments. Both phones come with 4GB of RAM, a 12-megapixel "Dual Pixel" rear camera with an f/1.7 aperture and smart OIS feature, as well as a 5-megapixel front camera with f/1.7 aperture.

The Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S6 both have a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED Display with 2560 x 1440 pixels Quad HD resolution.

"These new Samsung Galaxy devices are loaded with sweet new features, and when you put them on T-Mobile's 4G LTE network, you have the best combination of cool hardware and a screaming fast network", said John Legere, president and CEO of T-Mobile in a press note.
