Despite its size, Xiaomi insists that the carrying Mi Max won't feel like you're holding a tablet and claims it will fit inside your (quite spacious) pockets.

Mi Max has a starting price of 1,499 Yuan ($230) in China for the 32 GB, 1,699 Yuan ($261) for the 62GB and 1,999 Yuan ($307) for the 128GB.

Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 or 652 processor, the Xiaomi Mi Max also has room for a large 4850mAH battery.

In the rear is a 16-megapixel camera with dual-tone LED flash while the front has a 5-megapixel selfie snapper. The connectivity options of the phablet include 4G, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, GPS, Bluetooth, GLONASS, NFC, BDS, and NFC. Xiaomi also unveiled MIUI 8 with new redesign and several features.

It is packed with a humungous battery of 4850 mAh capacity that carries support for fast charging. They all support dual micro sim (both GSM) and a micro SD card option for extending memory and runs on Android marshmallow 6.0 version. Mi Max has White, Gray and Gold color variations that soon will be out in the market, as per Androidheadlines. It's a clean, colorful take with a few new software additions, such as a reworked gallery app and calculator. MIUI8 also comes with power-saving mode and can detect scam or fraud messages on a user's smartphone.

Xiaomi says that its MIUI custom OS has now over 200 million users, 21 apps on MIUI having accumulated 10 million daily users and 40 billion app downloads so far on the Mi App Store.
