New Nokia smartphone sold out in a minute after release in China

However, insiders told PC Advisor that the "Nokia 6" is sold at 1699 CNY, or about UK£201.66, EU232.07, and US$245.38. At the same event, Nokia is also expected to announce the global rollout schedule for the Nokia 6, which now is China exclusive. While this should be taken with a pinch of salt, as we have no idea how many units HMD Global made available for the flash sale, it is surely a positive sign for Nokia's grand comeback. The exact number of units sold wasn't revealed, and the date of the next flash sale has yet to be announced. "China is the world's largest smartphone market".

As posted by HMD, "The decision to launch its first Android smartphone into China is a reflection of the desire to meet the real world needs of consumers in different markets around the world". The report also added Nokia P1 will sport a 5.3-inch IGZO display protected by the Gorilla Glass 5. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor powers the device, which is coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage (expandable to 128GB via microSD).

There are also assumptions surrounding the specs for Nokia's latest flagship phone. It has 16MP back camera with f/2.0 aperture, phase detection auto focus, and dual-tone flash, as well as an 8-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture, which supports wide-angle selfies. Other features include a 3,000 mAh battery capacity and Dolby Atmos audio codec.

HMD Global or Nokia have not confirmed any details on the purported tablet. The company stated that it guarantees "superior craftsmanship and design quality".

The device is powered by Android and can be concluded as a mid range device. It is expected that Nokia will launch at least three phones this quarter. All needed for now is solid confirmation from HMD Global. So far, the company has not given a timeline of when smartphone users in the United States can get their hands on the popular Nokia 6.

Despite being one of the biggest mobile phone companies, Nokia lost out to Apple and Samsung during the boom of smartphones.
