RELEASE: Apple's iPhone 8 could be coming sooner than you think

The iPhone has just celebrated its 10th birthday and it's thought Apple could be planning something big to mark this special year.

Rumours are rife that Apple's iPhone 8 will feature a curved edge-to-edge display that will cover almost the entire front of the device.

The famous home button could also be removed and embedded under the display, plus there's sure to be an improved camera and faster processor tucked inside the new design.

Even Apple boss Tim Cook has fuelled speculation about Apple's product roadmap for the next year.

During the company's quarterly earnings call last week, Cook said: "I think the smartphone is still in the early innings of the game,

"I think there's lots more to do. Every year, I think it becomes more important to people's lives, there's more things people are doing with it."

Now to add to the excitement a report has suggested the iPhone 8 could be coming soon.

Apple always launches its flagship device in September but this year could be different with the US tech giant thought to be starting production of its new smartphone much earlier.

According to analysts from BlueFin Research Partners, there is "some indication" that Apple will ramp up production of the new phone with the device beginning its route to market in June.

There's a number of reasons why Apple could be producing the iPhone 8 earlier this year.

Firstly, it's thought that due to the complicated design, and possible inclusion of an AMOLED display, the new iPhone could take longer to build.

If the design is so radically different, Apple will also want to have plenty of these shiny new devices in shops.

But some are also speculating that the iPhone 8 will actually launch before its usual September date.

Last year Apple surprised fans by launching its iPhone SE in the Spring.

This phone brought flagship specs at a much lower price and has proven to be incredibly popular.

The US tech giant is notorious for keeping its launch dates under wraps until a few weeks before the event.

So fans are unlikely to know when the iPhone 8 will get its official unveiling until much later this year.

But, if the rumours are true, it could be an exciting time for lovers of the iPhone with radical changes looking almost certain for Apple's next flagship.
