There are rumors of all kinds going viral about Microsoft Surface Phone. Though there have been reports of its 'imminent' arrival for the last one year, the top of the line handsets from Microsoft have eluded thus far, disappointing Microsoft and Windows fans across the world.

Now there are reports that the Redmond based software giant will not just launch Surface Phone, the company will launch as many as three versions of the said phone.

A report in the Windows Central while talking about the rumored device(s) says that the tech giant has delayed the release of the handset(s) due to multiple reasons. These include the fact that Windows 10 Mobile is still being developed and improved and Microsoft's plan is to launch a device which can change the rules of the game.

microsoft lumia 650While talking about the development Windows chief Terry Myerson said: "We're going to do some cool things with phones, but this year phones are an important part of our family but not the tip of the spear." Windows Central report said that the Surface Phone will come in three versions aimed at the consumer, business and enthusiast markets. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella had made similar remarks last year when he laid out the plans of the company to target three different customer bases.

Satya Nadella while talking about the company's policy said, "We plan to narrow our focus to three customer segments where we can make unique contributions and where we can differentiate through the combination of our hardware and software…We'll bring business customers the best management, security and productivity experiences they need; value phone buyers the communications services they want; and Windows fans the flagship devices they'll love".

When it comes to specs, rumors suggest that the Surface Phone will feature a 5.5in QHD AMOLED screen, an Intel Atom CPU, 4GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of storage.
